Grandpa love, a great friend

Posted this in Tales, but wanted it here also.
I told him sometime back that I wanted a one row New Idea corn picker.
He remembered seeing one advertised some time back and I asked him to check on it.
He went and talked to the owner over a week ago and took photos and sent me.
Price was right and I sent Grandpa a check.
He and his family went and payed for it and pulled it to their house yesterday morning.
I will let him tell you about the trip home with it.
It is going to be a little while before I can go the 4 hours to his place to get it, but I am very happy with the whole deal.

I am really looking forward to getting it and using it this fall.
I will check it out and fix anything needed if necessary.
 
My grandpa,dad's dad, may have had one. He had a one row picker and pulled with a Co-op E3. I can still see it with my mind here in its shed with the tractor and wagon. Keep your hands away from it with it in gear. My grandpa had an accident with his.
