Checking out the new 880

I gave it a good checking over this morning. It starts good, likes the choke, so I?ll have to play with that. Gas tank is rusty, so he had a custom fuel cell on it so it would run.

The grill has seen better days, probably won?t spend much time on that. The drawbar has a nice round hole, so that?s a good sign.

The cylinder on the loader leaks bad, have to get it fixed after the tractor is done.

No brake on the right side, no muffler, it has an Automatic Radio, AM only that is supposed to work. The seat is wobbly and the tachometer shows 3500+hours. I don?t think I got hurt for $640 +10 %buyers fee. Chris

$704, that's a bargain, I'd say! Nice looking old Oliver! I'd spend a little time straightening the grill, or find a replacement. It will make a nice difference in the looks of the tractor. My next door neighbor had an 880 diesel with a wide front for pto work on some custom made dirt screens in his excavating business. I wanted to buy it when he phased out of that line of work, but his son wanted it. It has now sat unused in a gravel pit for 20+ years. A shame really, but it is their tractor to do what they want with it I guess.

By the looks of the drawbar it spent more time on the loader than in the field. Some sheet metal work would do wonders, you got a deal on it.

looks like a good deal to me. That will be a handy tractor or fun to clean up.

don't dwell on the buyers fee very long or the guys who have trouble doing math will be on your case!
