cleaning up a ton of invasive honeysuckle in my timber with the skidder and grapple bucket. went down with the w-9 and an old 8 ft drag disk to loosen up the timber soil. found two trees that werent quite 8 ft wide and caught the rear gang and snapped one of the arms. about 5/8 thick and 2 inches wide. driveway welding with the farmall m. 260 amp dc welder drives off the belt pulley. a few 6011 s a little grinding here and there and back in the woods. hope jon f mn likes my cave man approach!

Caveman? That's top of the line stuff right there! I would love to have one of those. I would even get a farmall if I had to to run it. I bet it welds better than most new ones. Can't see your welds tho, but if it holds its good.

store bought. this one was sold by haddican brothers in the 40s thru 1960s. they were made from surplus aircraft generators.

I hate it when those trees edge in like that. I had one that got the canopy on my Kubota three times before I figured out how it was happening.

Very nice and handy set up to have.

I like that WFE M. It looks like it has the Saginaw 3 point. I have NFE M with Saginaw, works great.

has a char lynn power pack on the 9 for hydraulics. shirt was hanging there so i didnt flame myself up when welding. those quilted shirts really burn quick.

that m is a very late 1952. has factory disc brakes, service meter, and the later front cover to accept a live hydraulic pump. this one also has an m+w 9
speed and a charlynn 2 way cylinder. oh yeah, char lynn power steering too. the w9 also has char lynn power steering and a char lynn power pack on
the pto for two way hydraulics.

lol, many a times i did the rapid hand flap dance to try and get the flaming chore gloves off!!

You got that M all dressed up and never take it to town! Still has the factory installed rear tires on it! Dad's '51 M as we called it was actually considered a '52 because it's finish build day was December 7, '51. IH's fiscal calender ran from November 1st to October 31st. Anyhow, it had those same GENERAL tires with the checkmark shaped lugs. He ran them till about '57-'58, and replaced them with a Gillette brand tire, the Generals ended up on our M&W direct axle duals that we used first on our Super M-TA from '60 to '64, 450 Farmall '65 to '68, 4010-D from '69-'72. We might possibly still have one left in a junk trailer down by the creek.
I've seen pictures in my IH books of Super M's with those tires on them. Only ever seen one other tractor with them, think it was a picture of an Oliver 77.
