Tire question

The industry-approved rim widths for 13.6-38 tires are 11" and 12" with 12 being the preferred. 12.4-38 tires are designed for 11" and are also approved for 10" rims. If you have 11"
rims the 13.6 tires will work fine. If your rims are 10" the tires would still work but will look "sucked in" at the beads and maybe overly "rounded" across the tread face. Just because
a tire isn't "approved" for use on a certain rim width doesn't mean it won't work, it just means that you could have consequences and trade-offs that wouldn't happen if mounted on a
correct rim width.

I have the 13.6 tire on the narrower rim on 2000 and 3000 Fords, Kelly Springfield 2000s. On the sidewall is a note as to the size and after the size is
posted is a dash and the words: "on a 12" rim". Both tires, of which you asked are listed as options for these tractors. I have other 13.6 x 28s that have
no such markings on my 3910 but I know not the rim width. They do seem to be wider but not sure if it's my imagination or a wider tire/rim.

Most of the tractors that run that size tire have been "upsized" once already. Originally the tractor came with the equivalent of 11.2-38's on 10" rims, and when those tires wore out the owner upsized to 12.4-38.

You could very easily be double-upsizing.

It's just something you should check for. Putting 13.6's on a 10" rim isn't the end of the world, I've done it myself, but jeez louise, squeezing that 13.6 tire on to that 10" rim was a challenge. It's a miracle we didn't pinch a tube.
