My best friend and farming buddy died suddenly last winter. I shared out the ground to a common friend this year, and we planted one field together tonight and had a nice talk. It is amazing how fast planting goes 24 rows at a time. Thanks for letting me share this.

Dad would have me ride along on the step of the 630 JD pulling the 494 to watch the drive shafts going to the boxes. Was fine for a while then you relax to much and the lug of the rear tire would catch a butt cheek and wake you right up. Over 35 years ago, last time he planted was the spring of 1990, passed away the spring of 1991. Thanks for the memories. chris
 
I was told if got caught on buddy seat would be fined, social distance 6ft thing,but anyway yea I was in skidsteer all day pulling small trees in crp ground, have couple hundred aCRES TO GO . RED pulling green see a lot of that in my area these days.
 
This is family operation, Mom and dad in 60s, two boys in 30s, extremely hard workers and good people. I think they own about 2500 and farm another 2000 acres. I am doing this on shares so I can still stay involved, as I enjoy that. They have 2 big green FWA and this red one, along with quite an assortment of 2510 JD, 966, 1066, 1086, 1466, 1486 and one 1468 with V8.
