My daughter who works in the health care field was exposed first hand today to a positive nnalert 19 patient. I don't know the details but I'd appreciate it if you would keep her in your thoughts. Thanks Gerald

im not a church man, but that's too bad and wish the best. and your president wants to stop the funding for the W.H.O. and get things rolling. he better give his head a shake and look around. we are in this mess for a long run yet.

Saying a prayer here.

Rough times we are in. My Daughters Fianc? is working with Covid19 patients. We certainly worry about him and my daughter who runs a nursing home. She works from home now for obvious reasons.

First of all don't panic. Just because she was exposed. Doesn't mean she has it.Like many she may get sick and get over it.I was exposed to polio when I was eight. I am now closing in on 70.Of course now that I am. I take naps and have CRS.She will be just fine

If she had her PPE, she should be fine. My wife is an ICU nurse where she had nnalert-19 patients. It?s just getting going here, though.

Gerald,

Prayers sent that your daughter will not get it... or that if she does, that it would be a milder case.

My prayers go out to you and your daughter. On a similar note, my son is going to RN school in Laredo, Texas and he also has to work the "nnalert floor", the floor where they put the people infected with the corona virus.

My daughter is a PA. She is about to be laid off from her job of managing a small rural clinic for a large Hospital. I'm not quite sure I understand the thinking behind this decision, but it's not mine to make. On one hand I am glad for her to be out of harms way. Or at least a little distanced from it. On the other hand, it seems to me we need all the medical staff we can get right now. My wife and I are lucky in that we can financially support her through these times if need be.
Prayers and hope go out to your daughter now, and until this situation gets turned around. Greg

Prayers for her, your and family.

My sister at age 65 is on the front lines ..Nurse...one of our Granddaughters is on the front lines at 24...Nurse

Bob........

Prayers sent. And prayers for all on the front lines of this pandemic. We have one in our family.

My daughter is also in the medical field.
Says she comes home every day smelling like
clorox and hand sanatizer.

Good luck to all and remember to keep all these
people in your prayers.

Thanks, jac

Prayers sent as well , I also have a daughter who was exposed to a patient who passed away, but she self quaranteed for 14 days and all is well and another daughter who works in a correctional facilty where its at as well.

Bless her heart for caring for the people afflicted with nnalert-19. Hopefully she doesn't contract the virus. You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.

If she has a healthy in other respects and not elderly it's likely she won't be harmed too bad. Let's all hope so anyway.

so does my oldest daughter, she right middle of it,she is now in glass cube while at work in the hospital. my county is now total hot spot, basically because of nursing homes and hog plants. the hog plant closed couple days ago, makes second one that has closed. nursing homes I have bad feeling will be pretty empty time this gets thru.

Our daughter works 2 jobs in Des Moines and got sick Monday. She did a drive thru nnalert 19 test yesterday will get the results tomorrow. She works out and is in great condition so we're not too worried. We talk to her 3 times a day. So far we think it's a bad cold until we get the results.

Prayers sent. Nice thing about prayer no one has to know your praying and no one can stop you. How much good it does, it certainly doesn't do any harm.

She is lucky at this point as to not be one of the first exposed. Her survival rate is higher now with all that has been learned.
Godspeed on a fast recovery.

Two things that might help put your mind at ease:

1. Exposure is not an automatic infection.
2. Infection is not an automatic death sentence.

It's understandable that your mind goes straight to the worst case scenario, but you can't do that. For everyone's sake. Start treating her like dead woman walking, and it might become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The reality is the odds are heavily in her favor.
