I think there are a lot more of us in the house surfing tractor forums than usual. I notice that it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get to a forum. Did anyone else notice this?
(quoted from post at 21:58:55 04/13/20) its not the surfing . its this site is not secure or out dated. having this trouble for a few weeks now. takes forever and then when get a post typed out and go to send it it just disappears. let management know and heard nothing. might have to move to the john deere or Minnie forum if ur thinking too much traffic here and spread the cheer around. lol.
(quoted from post at 00:45:35 04/14/20)Site comments the other day said they
were being hit by bots. It's not just
that, it's hackers too. About 4 days ago
I clicked on and the main page came up
not in English but in a squiggly line
language. I have no idea if it was arabic
or asian but it was only there for a few
seconds and then I lost connection.

Yup, and because of those around here who can't stand change and insist on using the classic view, we are doomed to suffer ever-increasing amounts of this abuse until we all get sick of it and go somewhere else.
The fact of the matter is the classic forum is woefully out of date and its creator is not actively supporting it anymore. Full of holes, running old insecure protocols, easy pickings for hackers. The modern view is also woefully out of date because modifying it to synchronize with the classic view is non-trivial.
Plus upgrading it will change the look and feel, further agitating the others who can't stand change, but use the modern view.
I figure at this point, it's either lose a bunch of users by upgrading, or lose everyone to the hackers.

BE is correct. Users here pi$$ and moan about modern view but "classic" is just out of date and is not going to be upgraded by the folks that wrote that software.

You guys both hit it on the head. As long as this dual system remains in place nothing is going to change much.
As for those who claim they will leave if it's changed---95% of them are just blowing smoke! They'll figure out in a few days that they actually do miss the place and they'll come back and learn how to use the new system. And they'll realize how much nicer it is, although they'd never admit that.
