Burnt off my little praire this morning

I have a four acre patch west of my house, most of it is 6 years old, second burn and looks great. I had to reseed about an acre of it, and this is third year for it. The one acre still looked pretty poor and hardly had enough dead grass to burn well.

I am thinking I got crappy seed on second run.

Wish I could burn all of my strips are nice and dry but we have a state wide burning ban. First time in several years that it is fit to burn.I have two terraces and a 3 acre CRP that are three years old and never been burned. I think I have seven other filter strips that haven't been burned in many years.

Burning makes a huge difference, glad to get it done.

I like to wait as late in spring as I can, seems to help kill broadleafs.
