Pretty good, but i never owned a 66 series,my brother had one, i had a 1456, it lasted a lot longer than that 436, ever though off, that sleeve eating, oil eating, well that's enough!

Nice. So green... like others, we had freezing rain over night, was so drab and gray and windy today the ice didn?t melt, high was 27.

I don?t know if anyone ever pulled a 6 bottom around here regular with a 2 wheel drive tractor. That takes a lot of ponies and a lot of traction in our dirt.

Paul

In his part of the world every 1066 sold had a 6 bottom 710 IH reset plow behind it. Even if you were green and had a 4430 you most likely had a six bottom 710 IH reset plow. It wasn't untill I was 18 and started buying machinery out of Ohio that I ever saw a 700 or 710 plow that was not a spring reset. Tom

Looks good. If he had an oliver plow he probably could pull 7 in stead of only 6. I 'd rather have a trailer plow too. only ever plowed with one anchor plow. Always have liked trailer plows and plowed with several.

Oh,the joy of plowing on a cool spring day with an open platform tractor.
I remember those well. Foolish enough to not wear hearing protection( WHAT ?)
Anybody ever get a sore spot on your neck from wearing a brand new Carhartt
jacket ? Corduroy collar felt like sandpaper after the first two days, lol.
Thanks for the picture and memories, pic location ?

Pulled red plows for ever then got a John Deere I like the way the John Deere turns the dirt can?t tell an inch of difference between how hard either pulls . A drawn plow will pull harder than a mounted or semi mount because there is no weight transfer to the tractor .
