H super H water jacket

cannot get water jacket to stop leaking, tried soft gasket ,hard gasket, no silicone , with out still leaks, yes I checked straight ness, clean everything until shined like a new penny.

Clean the block, cover and bolt holes up with brake clean. Use a good silicone sealer with no gasket. Doesn't need a very big bead. Follow instructions on tight down and let it sit 24 hours without fluid added. Hardly any will squeeze out or in with the right bead size. When you go around the bolt holes let some bead material overlap the bolt hole to keep bolt threads from going in dry after cleaning. Don't know if this is a used cover, but the above is the best luck I have with those.

Where did you buy it? I bought one once from an antique tractor supply that will remain unnamed that I could not seal. The sheet metal was so thin that it would warp when I tightened it down. I ended buying one from Case/IH that finally worked. It was expensive, but the metal used was twice as thick as the first one I bought. Just my experience.

My H water jacket started to seep, and I was afraid to try to remove the bolts, they'd strip off. I gave the thing a few heavy coats of red IHC spray paint. Hasn't seeped since.
