Keeping busy.....

Beans took a hike up yesterday so we loaded up the last of the old crop and delivered it to the elevator. I called first and arranged delivery and payment, didn't have to meet or talk to anyone....that felt kinda strange! Oh well, my wife has found some paint and a room that needs redoing, so guess what tomorrow's job is.....sigh...

I sold some old crop beans yesterday as well. Not the best price but not the worst either. I had mine on storage at the local elevator so all I had to do was make a phone call. They are mailing the check. Can't quite make out your tractor, 4255? Your stuff looks well kept.

I've been working outside too. 11 years ago I had a tree cut down. Then I planted flowers over it.
Flower have been moved to other beds.

This is what's left of the stump.

Level the ground with the Kubota. Did a good job.

Planning to use zoysia sod and have an instant lawn.

Pallet of zoysia sod in the background.

So I'm social distancing and feel great working outside.

I could not get all the beans in those two wagons, there is a small third wagon behind them. Total load was 715 bushels, just under 20 metric tons. Roads are pretty flat here, and I stayed on the paved roads. Just a nice load under the conditions.

Since I was working from home today I decided to put the new cab interior in the 4840. Took my most of the day to remove the old one and clean it up. I also painted the metal under the windows.Only took me 30 min to put the new one in. Still chasing an A/C leak in my 4250.

Yes....at Port Albert....but it's not called Thompson's anymore, since Sylvite took over most of the business.

If that 2955 has the same engine the 2940 does we run out of power on hills due to a lack of torque. Where as the 806or856 will keep on going. I do realize they both have more cubic inches to begin with. All three are about the same HP range though in the 90-100.

(quoted from post at 15:59:16 03/25/20) Thanks....wagons are only a few years old, I repainted the 2955 about 5 years ago.

Wow, it must be flat there. I hauled 607 bushels of corn in two boxes behind a John Deere 4640 power shift yesterday. It was scratch and claw out the sellers driveway and slip and slide into my driveway 9 miles later. I can t imagine using that lil guy even pulling one box. The equipment definitely looks nice.

Neighbours routinely haul about 1000 bushels of corn here with a 4640. No long
hills though.

86 hp. I do avoid the hilly roads, but with duals on in the fall, I can gear down and short hills are OK.
