Should have brought you a block instead of tin. Nope, felt more sorry for your horse. Ran into a nasty snowstorm on the way home last night just out of Montpelier. Made it from Centennial, Colo. to home in 19 hours. 90 gals. fuel and a package of Oreos. And 3 thermos of coffee. Good to see you again.

Thanks for coming buy , that stretch of road can get pretty bad glad you made it ok . I?ve got a block but anyone can swap a block I want to see if if can be repaired I just have to try it . And Dave says thanks for the tin now he?ll have a real roof

Good luck on the fix SV. I am looking forward to seeing the result. IMHO the 12 valve cummins is one of the best engines ever produced.

On block repair subject,I have a Cockshutt 30 I've owned for about 30 years that had a block repair on the side.Someone bolted a plate on the side of the block with what looks like
1/4 inch bolts drilled and tapped into the block as close together as they could get them, has never given me a problem.

TF .... those Buda engines in the model 30's had a weak spot in the block casting I think, they all seemed to split in the same place when/if they froze up. There were a lot of 30's up here, and still are, and I've seen that same break a good number of times, and the patch system you mention. I wonder if it is possible that it was a location where some water was trapped even after draining. not sure?
