JMS/.MN is my Dad. I know he has chatted with many of you over the years and probably met a few in person. He passed away earlier today (3/23/2020). He enjoyed spending a lot of time here on the "tractor board", as he called it. Thank you to all of you who have gotten to know him and shared his love for all things farming and tractor related.

Sure am sorry to hear that! Thank you for coming here to post. Sometimes a member just disappears, and we never know what happened.

Your dad was one of the good guys here (there are many!).

Prayers for you and your family.

Oh I?m so sorry. He stopped and visited me out of the blue once for A brief 10 minutes, but made me feel like a friend of long time. I really appreciated his presence on
this forum.

My condolences.

Paul

Oh man..........I?m so sorry to hear that! Jim was one of a few folks from here I have met in person, and still communicate with on a regular basis. He
came to my farm and bought an Allis Chalmers tractor from me a few years back, and also a big trailer that I delivered to his farm. I believe his plan
was to use it for a bridge deck. Your dad was so much fun to talk with, and he loved showing me around the farm, especially his shop, while I was
there. You, your mother, and the rest of the family have my deepest sympathy. Jim was a truly great guy, and his knowledge of Allis Chalmers
equipment, farming related information, and just plain ?life? in general, was so impressive. Heaven gained a wonderful person!

Oh my. I?m sorry to hear that. Jim was a wealth of knowledge
and a class act. We will miss him here. We will miss him at
Forest City.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a wealth of knowledge. My condolences to you and the rest of his family.

I am sorry to hear this news. I read many of his posts over the years.

My condolences and prayers to you and your family.

I am sorry.
I visited him at his home. Long time ago
now. Looked at a Moline drill he had but
didn't buy it. Spent a couple of hours
there. Just chatting. He was a nice man
and I liked him well.
He was a Green Beret or Ranger. Can't
remember which now. I hope the VFW gives
him a nice, crisp salute at his funeral.
I would, out of respect, if I were there.

I can't believe it. He has been a fixture here forever! JMS was the first person on here who I got to know [indirectly], probably because of our mutual experience with AC.
Over time I picked up pieces of his service to our country in the military.
Rest in peace, sir.

My condolences to you and your family!! Remember the good times. Thank you for letting us know. Chris

Very sorry to hear that! My condolences to you and your
family. My dad has been gone for a long time but I still get comfort from his memories.

This community of tractor lovers has been enriched by his presence. He is going to be heard in the archives as long as YT exists, and in our hearts as
well. Jim

My condolences to you and your family. Your father was a
mainstay on this board. We will all miss him. Thank you for
letting us know.

So sorry to hear this. It's so tough to
lose our parents. Praying for you and
your family to find peace and comfort.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I enjoyed his knowledge on here many times. Great man to visit with. Kow Farmer Kurt

Sorry for your loss. I always liked to read his responses to the questions on here. He shared his experiences and knowledge freely. Thank you JMS/MN for making this site what it is. Tom

I am truly sorry for your family's loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

We were very fortunate to get to know him through all the years he participated here.

I especially appreciated chatting with him about his experience in the US Army, 5th SFG if I recall, as my father was with the 7th.
They shared very similar experiences back in those days, and your dad was very generous in sharing some of that here and or via e-mail if I recall. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

My sincere condolences. I had a lot of conversations with him over many years mostly about Allis Chalmers as we had Allis equipment
mostly in the form of tractors. His last post here, (I think) was on the Allis board on the 20th about someones D14 question. He
certainly had a storehouse of knowledge. Good sense of humor, too.

Well that is terrible news. So sorry for your loss. If anyone has access to his obit, could you memorialize him on the memorials forum? It is a nice tribute I think when we do that.

God bless you and your family during this time. Your dad was well liked, shared some great stories and passed along good advice/wisdom. He will be missed on the "tractor boards"

Sorry for your loss. My condolences and
prayers sent. Never met him in person, but
know the handle as a good knowledgable guy
