Does anyone know if they make a rear tractor tire that replaces the R4 type with a more aggressive tread? My Kubota m8200 is a very nice tractorl, but would be almost worthless if it didn't have 4wd. The rear tires are 19.4x24, the common backhoe type tire. I should have bought this tractor with the regular ag type wheels and tires, but didn't know better at the time... . The R4s are tough and seem to be resistant to thorns and such for brushhogging, but in slick mud they are pitiful. Anybody know of anything? Thanks
 
You can go to the ag style tires, but
may have to switch all 4 so the
rolling diameters match or you will
have a bind in the driveline when in
4wd

You will have to change all 4 tires and rims. 18.4 x 30 R1 on the rear and 12.4 x 24 R1 on the front. You may be able to do a trade with a dealer or someone wanting the industrial tires. It is a common mistake made by newbies and shame on the dealers for not matching the right tires to the job.
 
R14T tires are designed to combine some of the desired characteristics of R-1, R-4, and R-3 tires.

They are new and not yet available in all sizes.

I don't have that size, but got on the www asking questions (as you are doing) and was able to buy R1s and matching wheels to fit the rolling
circumference of my existing R4. And as you would expect, welllllllll worth the time, expense, and effort.
