Was there ever a ?Hayes? Tractor? A friend found a cast seat with the name ?Hayes? cast into the seat. Thanks. Paul

Likely from a "Hayes" corn planter.

Looks like they were pioneers in "check row planting technology".

Yup, probably from a corn planter, made in Galva Illinois. I bought this box up at the Rock River Thresheree about five years ago, my brother had two boxes that said cow peas on the lid and my nephew has at least a couple of them, don't remember what they say. There was a lot to read about the factory on and what they made on the internet.

Thanks everyone. After the lead from Bob my friend actually found a picture of a corn
planter with the "Hayes" cast into the seat. I believe it was in a museum. Yes, my friends name is Hayes. Paul
