Hay Bale Storage

I?m going to be baling about 2,000-3,000 more square bales than I did last year. I ran out of storage last year. I?m looking for a good, and inexpensive way to store them. Preferably something I can use for more than a year or two. Any ideas?

Hoop barns seem to be a good deal. last one I saw was 15 yrs old and still going.

Hoop barn would be my guess as well.

X 3 on the hoop barn. Local fertilizer company has one in use for years.

For more than a year might as well build a shed. And if you think tall enough is 12 foot go 16 it will be low enough faster than you think. Also will be to small faster yet.

I have a hoop barn principally for hay storage but as space opens up lots of other things find that space convenient. My barn is 15 years old, an I just replaced the tarp/cover last summer.

hoop barns can be enhanced by erecting them on big concrete blocks placed on gravel. You get it raised up a little above the surrounding ground so it stays drier.

X 4 on hoop barn. I helped neighbor pull the plastic over his about 15 years ago. Still standing tall and we've had some terribly high winds.
