This hasn't seen daylight for a long time.
Migh Moe , that's what my friend calls the terramite, was able to drag it out of workshop.

The brake was in the garage when I bought the place 27 years ago.
Glad it was on skids.

When to pick it up and my front tires didn't like it. So I put on my rear ballast and put 45 psi in front tires.

All went well. Glad I made the rear ballast.
No way could I have moved the brake without it.

Small enough to push it to it's new home.

I can't imagine it anyone was able to park it in my old workshop. That thing was heavy.

The titian forks held up well.

That's a helluva brake, George!

With respect to insulation, I can tell you from experience that it's a lot easier to insulate before you move in all your stuff.

Cover up. Hard to believe it don't have a moisture problem yet. Not warm enough to spray roof.

Mark,
Insulators have to cover up walls and floor. They will use a scaffolding on wheels.

Before I installed the floor I had a condensation problem. Ground was wet. I put Plastic under concrete and no ore condensation. Going to wait for spring before I insulate roof.

I have always wanted a sheet metal brake. A little smaller than yours, but would settle for it. Stan

I would not have lifted it by the bottom like that . To easy to tip over. I would have put slings under the top part of the break and lifted. Hanging weight doesn't tip over like supported weight will.

You may not see the chains and straps I used to prevent it from flipping over.

How did the person get this in the garage? Its very heavy.

I have a pole barn, and before I put concrete in, with a vapor barrier, everything inside would be covered in condensation. Now with the vapor barrier, it s dry as a bone.

When I younger I had a 10x14 metal shed.
Same story. Gravel floor and condensation
on everything.

BIL installed a central AC in his
workshop/mancave in Leesburg, Fl.
They have so much humidity, his tools
would rust.

I made sure to have vented eves and ridge vent. So far no moisture problem. May not need to insulate. Builder wanted to put fan fold under roof. I said NO. I didn't want to have roof screwed to something flexible.

One way to move it would be roll it using pipes as rollers . That is how I got my wood/ oil furnace into my basement 22 years ago , and how I helped a friend move a small (8x12) building to a different spot on his property. That time I used boards on the lawn as tracks for the pipe to roll on.

It amazing and i would like to see how these old metal working pieces were made back in the 1800s with no CNC machines if anyone has a video of how some of these items were made please post it one thing i have never under stood was how they cast an engine block with the waterjackets and oil passages.

I plan on putting up a 33 X 55 wood truss quanset this spring and was planning on a crushed gravel floor. I will be used for storage only. Would it help to install plastic under the gravel? I have a good supply of heavy silage bag plastic. I was thinking of plastic under the metal roof.
