Have some of the 20 ft. pipe continuous corral fencing. Have never painted it but am considering that. Advice or experience on best paint and best application method? Thanks.

If making them pretty for a year, cleaning and spray painting them (or brush) with rustoleum is OK. If to be really good, sand blast and powdercoat. Between those is sand blasting and undercoating then application of an automotive alkyd enamel. Jim

I do not hate rusty surfaces like I use to.
Now if something is not going to rust out or fail due to rust in my lifetime, it can stay that way.
Once painted, it will require redo every few years forever more.
Or look worse if not redone regularly.

Knock off loose rust/dirt, apply some rust restorer product, then use a good oil based paint. Spray or brush if the surface is rough to insure good coverage.

1) Scrape biggest part of rust off with old farriers rasp, scurf it up
2) Use shoulder length palpation gloves under paint mitts
3) Better buy a case of them (mitts) as they will rub through rather quickly
4) I?ve always just used a white/gray oil based primer never thought much sense in buying paint to put over primer as you will be repainting at least every other year
5) I hope you enjoy painting

It is like a rusty tractor, you say it is in its original cloths BUT if you paint just one piece the rest of the tractor looks shabby. Done that
