52 case dc wide with propan

That would depend some, foot clutch or hand clutch, good
tires, paint, location. But a nice running dc with tires would
bring $800-1200 here. Adjustable wide front and foot clutch
could get as high as $1800+.

I didn't realize a foot clutch DC would be worth more than a hand clutch. Seems like I only remember seeing one with a foot clutch
as the DC was popular in our neck of the woods. Because we had a good Case dealer back then. Our hand clutch DC is the first
tractor I drove at 5 years old because of the hand clutch, I would have never been able to push a foot clutch in at that age.

With 2nd and reverse right across from each other the foot clutch makes the dc a great loader tractor for its time. And folks like them better for many other reasons too. But you are correct that the clutch does take some effort and is not for starting drivers.

I use mine with foot clutch most every day I'm home.

Interesting observation about hand clutch. I was the same way only on a AC WD. Started driving at age of 5 straddling a windrow pulling a wagon and loose hay loader while Dad built a load. Real slow in first gear and push out the hand clutch when he hollered whoa. Had to swing out wide to keep loader on the windrow on the corners. He coached but I was a proud individual when he gave me an atta boy for not leaving any hay. Hand clutches were awful handy for youngsters. Ironically I would probably never let my grandsons operate to the extent I did at a young age.
