Who would have thought I could drill 2 holes in a crescent wrench? I chose to use a made in China crescent over a Craftsman.

I also got lucky to find 2 roll pins the size I needed

A big thanks to Bob for the idea how to make a spanner.

Does anyone sell a one hand spanner wrench?

Both left handed and metric. Use the back side for SAE and right hand. So you can multitask with this tool.

made one like that 30+ years ago for rams on case backhoes when they wanted 40 some bucks for one spanner wrench
 
Unless it actually says "Crescent" on the handle, it is an ADJUSTABLE WRENCH.

Some of you get so uptight about calling a common item by its best known brand name, yet not a peep about this?

I couldn't tell what type bit I used. It was a gold bit that did the job. I used the slowest speed and it drilled out nice long curly metal. I don't think the metal was that hard.

Yes, some folks care a great deal as is takes many years and lots of money to build and protect a brand. When I went to work for a gypsum wallboard manufacturer and uttered the word sheetrock I was informed that if anyone wrote that word in a company document they might well lose their job as my employer did not want the lawsuit.
