Anyone use them? Peel off back. Soap and water spray. Smooth out. Is there a clear cover that peels off? Going on the Farmall A.

Typically decals (vinyl lettering or logo) come with a carrier sheet (also called transfer sheet) with a slightly sticky back which is applied to the decal. Then the back of the decal is pealed off to expose the decal adhesive. Pick up the assembly using the transfer sheet and lay the decal on the surface using guidelines or tape to get it straight. Press the decal onto the surface and then pull away the transfer sheet. Then go over the decal with a plastic spatula or other device to press it firmly onto the surface.

Mylar will have clear between the letters, vinyl will have nothing between the letters when done. Vinyl will have an adhesive protector on back and front sheet to keep everything lined up, but it is pulled off after decals are on.

If they are mylar, then you probably will have to put up with some of the clear. You can trim off the excess with a scissors before applying the decal. At the very least, be sure to round off the corners. Greatly diminishes the chance that one might decide to curl up (although 99% of them never will). Plus, it just makes the installation look a little neater.
