Took my strapper girl on a hay ride this morning

50 mile round trip to pick up some hay. Have two trips left to go. Funny how only 25 miles south, and very little snow on the ground. The lake is hardly covered in snow, strong winds have blown it nearly clean.

You can see my strap girl up on the load adjusting the straps.

And check out the winter time crop circles. Usually only heat about crop circles in grain crops , lol

She is always doing all the work while you take the pictures I?m going to have to try that with the wife lol

Crop circles are believed by some to be made by Aliens. Usually in cereal grains, and circles of the crop are all pressed flat to the ground. These crop circles in my field are just the way the wind swirling around the bales, leaving the ground near the bales bare. Hence crop circles, definitely not Alien construction.

Yep, two hours travel time, one hour to load and strap. When I used to haul with my flat bed truck, it was one hour travel time, for half as many bales, but took twice as much fuel. And it now cost too much keeping a truck on the road, license, safety inspections every year, and insurance, not to mention penalties for having any over weight load if caught, none of these apply to a tractor and wagon.

When I load and strap hay I use a Pine or Basswood board about 6 inches wide no climbing and can put the strap right where you want it. Board wants to be about waist high when reaching the strap easy to control and those boards are light weight.
