Looking at a Kubota FWD 3830 with FEL, 2005 model with just over 400 hours. It comes with 6' woods finish mower, 5' woods bush hog,6' atlas box blade, 6' king cutter disc, spray rig w/fold down booms hand wand and pto pump, cyclone spreader and boom pole. Barn kept service records and manuals. 8 speed hydro. drive. Asking $20 thousand, what do ya'll think?
I have known the owner for probably 20 years,he is selling his weekend place is the reason for selling, all he's ever done with it is cut grass and maintain his driveway. I would use it primarily for the same duties plus moving hay and loading logs on my bandsaw mill.

What's a new one w/all attachments worth? Even if it's 15 years old, it's basically a slightly used machine with everything it sounds like you need. If it's under new cost JUMP on it! It'll be like getting a new machine with the depriciation already absorbed by someone else.

Sounds like a good deal with all that equipment & low hours--I'm pretty sure that those are pre tier 4 engines, so you don't have to use def or have as much pollution stuff on it like the new ones do

I am thinking $1700 to $2,000 worth of implements so that puts the tractor at $18,000. That is VERY low hours for 15 year old tractor but since you say you know the guy seems right. On a dealers lot the hours would be questioned by ever customer but even then the $18,000 would be right at the top of what it would bring. Since you are NOT buying it to resale ,seems to me the price is fair. Most of the 30 series did not have the quick attach on the loader bucket but you can convert it if needed. Only other thing that might affect the vale is what tires? AG or R 4 , originally the R4 would have been almost a thousand higher. You say 8 speed hydro-static I would venture to say it is more than likely a GST or KUBOTAs glide shift transmission which is fine.

JWA......does this mean there will be a couple older tractors for sale? Kubota sounds nice. Both my neighbors have one.

I've not decided yet. Could spend a little on my Ford 2810 and have pretty much the same set up for less money. I don't need the additional pieces of equipment and he wants to sell as a package. I'll let you know if I decide to get rid of anything else.
