There is a local place that trucks in Alfalfa hay (does not grow well here) from Arizona and other states.
They get $25 for 3 strand 100 lb bales and $200 for 1000 lb square bales.
That's $400 and $500 a ton.

Anyway I saw this posted on their face book site.

I once loaded over 100 bales on a ford camper special, had a little trouble getting under some lines. LOL

I had people come here for hay with a minivan (said their truck was broken down). They had the rear seats down and brought plastic garbage bags to put the top tier of bales in so they would slide in easier as they rubbed the headliner. I can?t remember how many bales they fit in but they had the van stuffed full.

I was told years ago to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of a vehicle to put a flake of real good alfalfa in it for a while.I believe this person was a heavy heavy smoker.

I sold a 4x5 roll to a guy who showed up with a tiny lawn mower size trailer-homemade. I said, are you sure it will hold it? He said, yeah-put it on there. So I did, and the tongue bent. We straightened it(real easy) and he had me reload in a slightly different position on the trailer. Mark.

(quoted from post at 06:50:04 02/19/20) I can see that working . A sagebrush branch smells
really good to

Ahhh yes, especially on a late spring morning with the dew evaporating off them. Sage and juniper, two smells that make home feel like home.
