Ford 2110 LCG transmission

I have decided to change from a select-o-speed to a manual! I have done the research and know what I have to change to do this. But I do have 2 questions. First question how do I remove step/ brake pedal assembly so I can remove the hydraulic tubes going from the pump to the rear? Second question is what has to be done to remove the steering gearbox? I have it unbolted currently didn?t know if I have to remove the gas tank gauge cluster and all or is there any shortcuts that would require less disassembly? Thanks in advance!!

There is plenty of help here if you really need it but it seems a bit much to ask others to spend a lot of time typing out a "how to" when you can spend a few minutes reading and learning about it in a manual.
