Cordless ratchet chain binder?

I saw a ratchet chain binder that you could use a cordless drill to take the slack out of the chain, then use the handle to snug it down.
Can anyone please post a link to where I can buy one?
Thanks

I saw them use a speed binder to secure this tractor.

They look pretty neat actually. I was thinking what a hunk of junk until I saw it work . Where was that tractor

Remove the handle and cog from a ratchet style load binder, weld on an air brake slack adjuster and away you go.

Could probably build yourself a set in an afternoon.

Those look pretty much like a semi truck brake slack adjuster. I see they are in Canal Fulton Ohio which is not too far from me. Then I clicked on the contact us link and at first I thought the map was locating on my house ! lol. Turns out the contact address is really close to me. I have never heard of or seen these before. I don't get out much though. lol.

must be... I hate those things , nothing like the old over centre boomers just because people don't pat attention to the job at hand and get hurt. faster and simpler.

Ratchet binders are about the only thing that works when securing machinery that does not have tires, but for everything else, I like the over-center binders.

WOW!! How to save 40 seconds on 4 binders I cannot wait to save a whole hour of my life. Wait I only use binders maybe 20 times a year. Lets see 60 minutes divided by 4o seconds = 1 and a half minutes a year saved!! And what I noticed in the demo video was the binder was OUTSIDE the rub rail, I thought that was a NO NO!!
My vote is it is not worth it.

These are already paid for. Don't need charging. Take less than a minute to grab a link and snug up.

I think you are right he had it hooked in the wrong place, should have went down thru the stake pocket.

Looks like someone made good use of how a air brake slack adjuster works.

I think he was using his head for more than a hat rack.

Nice binder for us old folks, and I carry a cordless impact
So that's not a problem.

So can anybody show me the law where over center/snap binders are really illegal. When I called Ooida (Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association) They looked it up with the results being that snap/over center binders are not illegal. I would really like to hear about it if they are and can show me the code or ordinance where they are.
As for those fancy ones he will be buying a lot of new chains if he keeps tightening them up that much every time. With a 24 to 1 ratio i,f I did the math right a 30 pound pull on the regular ratchet handle Would be the equivalent of 720 Pounds of pull on the chain.

There was a lady state trooper based in Madison County VA that was handing out tickets for using over center binders a few years ago so I assume there must be a law, only trooper I ever heard of doing it though

US Fish and Wildlife Service only allows ratchet binders for their employees and volunteers. I think some folks are seeing those rules on line and not realizing they aren't Fed DOT rules. Some states might have outlawed them but I can't say for sure, it doesn't readily turn up on a search and it should. Some places do require the handles be secured from opening. Just posting what I can find.

They're not for you. They're for the guy who loads and unloads multiple times a day. Contractors. Loggers.

It's not about saving time either, because someone did a time test and they're not much faster than ratchet binders.

What they are is a labor saving device. You go home less fatigued at the end of the day because you didn't have to ratchet and unratchet 48 binders that day.

Oh, and hooking outside the rub rail is legal now at the Federal level.

FMCSA decided in 2005 that removing the rub-rail rule would not detract from highway safety and would make enforcement more consistent. Despite objections from Canadian officials, the FMCSA issued a final rule in June 2006, rescinding the prohibition on routing tiedowns outside the rub rails.

Thus, drivers and carriers are no longer prohibited from routing their tiedowns on the outside of the rub rails.
