CBT Tractor Made In Brazil

Hi, looking for an engine oil filter for a CBT 1090 made in Brazil. It has a 90 hp Perkins engine. I understand these were imported into the USA via a company in Colorado Springs. All my buddy needs is an oil filter element.

These tractors look like they copied some looks from Oliver. What model of Perkins engine 6.xxx? If it has a spin on oil filter probably takes a Wix 51459 commonly used on a lot of Perkins engines.

Tractordata lists it as a Perkins 6 340. I agree that if he hasn't already he could try cross-referencing the Perkins info, unless CBT made substantial changes to fit it in the tractor, which is unlikely.

I have a CBT 8260 it has the Perkins 354,the filters and such are standard Perkins.Big old heavy built tractors.Supposedly CBT bought some of the Oliver/White designs.It looks somewhat like a big Oliver but has some different mechanics about it.There were several dealers in Georgia and Florida at one time.

Take the filter number (or the old filter) to NAPA. They can match it and supply the filter.I agree ith the other poster,It's probably just a common Perkins filter.

My MF235 was made in Poland, it has a Perkins engine. I didn't have any problem finding an oil filter. Do a little more checking. Stan

Perkins is owned by Caterpillar
They use a lot of Perkins design engines in there smaller
Rollers and other equip.

Might be a shot in the dark, but worth a look?

CBT bought the rights to use the Oliver design .I think it was in the late 50s or early 60s.

Good articles in May/June 2008 HPOC and Aug/Sept 2016 Oliver Heritage magazines. My unrestored CBT 2080 has the 4 cyl Mercedes engine and originally came from a dealer in Miami. I show it regularly at Flywheelers. I also have a CBT 2600 with a 6 cyl Mercedes.
