My brother called last night,,he wants to load up my nephews JD B and bring it to PA
mvphoto49393.jpg

It was our Dads JD B,,after my Dad passed away,,my nephew and my brother fixed it up a bit,

I will take some pictures today of it arriving in PA,,And post later tonight

Larry, Good Luck! Does it run now? We had a 1948 B my
dad bought for $75 in 1970. My brother painted it while in
high school and was looking good. Traded it in 1973 for our
new Oliver 1555.

My brother got it running last week,,he put a new battery in it for my nephew too.He said the carb is a little gummed yet,,but it runs and drives,,he not sure of the carb yet,

Larry, I had my carb rebuilt by Treadwell Carburator. Looks just like new and is the same town as the photos I posted. Jim does an excellent job. Just an FYI and you could take a ride with your wife to see some N.Y. country side. I think you could ship it to him as well.

Nice!

Have to love an old JD B... whether
styled or unstyled, painted or rusty.

Love the sound of an old Johnny Popper.
:)

Ours is painted... but I do wish it was
rusty.

Either Greenmech or myself could rebuild that carb. John Deere carbs are pretty simple. All the brass plugs need to be removed and passages cleaned with the correct size drill bits.

Teddy,

Would be fun to see... but I think it would take a small miracle to get my husband to buy another rust bucket. :)

Bruce,

That'd a long ol' drive on a B. LOL!! :)

Actually, that be a long ol' drive... even towing a B.
