We have lost another great individual.

Yesterday we lost one of the brightest individuals that I have ever known. Dr. Phillip Griepp M.D, former chairman of the hematology department at Mayo Clinic passed away yesterday. I met Phill nearly twenty five years ago while he was treating my brother for multiple melanoma, a terminal bone marrow and blood cancer. He became an instant family friend and Phill was able to keep my brothers disease at bay for five good quality years. Upon his death, Phill traveled from Rochester, Minnesota to Corpus Christi, Texas to deliver my brothers eulogy. God Love You and Eternal Rest My Friend.

He sounds like a wonderful friend and doctor. So sorry for your loss and may he Rest In Peace.

Always hate to see or here of a Doctors passing especially a good one who has done allot research and good for everyone. May he rest in peace.

Is the brother you speak of Pat, the one who had the Oliver Dealership?

No, It was my brother Mike who lived in Corpus Christi, Texas all his life. Pat died also of cancer just a couple of years before Mike. You can Google Dr. Phillip Griepp/obituary and read of all the things that he was involved in. Really an outstanding individual who gave it his all. For many years he coached the Rochester, Minnesota rowing team and I use to tell him that I had no intention of ever boycotting Evenrude. He knew that I was hopeless.
