JD combine engine

I have an old 217 from a 55 combine. It has the usual flat belt pulley on it. My question is ,is there a clutch/bell housing that I coud put on it. Would be fun to use it for something. Like a tractor repower,A 'rat rod',etc?.Just for fun. Steve.

Would a clutch housing similar to one in photo suit your needs?

don't know.But it looks like a real possibility. I have an old transmission out back.Will have to look. Thanks!

Check a chart for standard bell housings Think you will find it is a standard size In past I found an Oliver 60 had a standard size that fit a John Deere m 4 cylinder engine from a 30 combine
