I know this sounds crude, but first smack it a couple of times with an 8 ounce hammer like you mean it.

Likely, it will then unscrew easily.

DISCLAIMER: Although I have done this many times successfully with similar plugs, I will leave it up to you to decide exactly WHAT "smack it like you mean it" means.

Are you referring to the plug that holds the transmission screen in place? It has a 3/4" recessed hex in it? If so that is a steel plug and should take that force with no problem. I have had to use a 2 foot long, 1/2" flex bar on the ones with the 1/2"square in them at times.

Neighbor's crack head kid used an electric impact to try and take one out now there is just a round hole.

Just Rememder when you take out your screen. To go in that hole with a magnet to try and collect all shavings that is possible to reach. It is a fact that a screen is just there to hold big partickels out of your hydraulick pump. Thats why all tractors have on some stage hydraulic pump issues. With very high costs. There is a selution that will prolong your pumps life and your tractors life. . But as this is not a site for advertising . I cannot realy helping farmers with such an issue. I can just said that there is already a very sucsessful selustion that i use for some years now
