Had to look up what a "TASC" truck was.

Stands for "Trautwein and Son Company".

They built firetrucks!

Is that what is on the door? Can't quite read it.

You live the life Larry, get to stop and
look at all the quality stuff around and
share it here! I get to see lots from the
road but can't stop!😢 Thanks for sharing
the pics and your part of the world!

I was lucky to meet the owner of the old dealership,,he let me walk around and take pictures,He said walk around ,be careful,,and if anybody asked,,say Manny said its ok!

You have a happy and positive attitude, that helps meeting people, seems it brightens their day! I met alot of nice folks on the road, seems the little truck stops/fuel stations in the morning is the meeting place for the older farmers and rural bussiness men! Have sat down and chatted with some of them, they are welcoming and fun to talk to, even got your jokesters! Growing up milking cows I never imagined touring the US and seeing some neat sights! I'm in Alpine Wyoming now, I don't like snow but this place has to be really beautiful in the spring and summer, I want to come back then!

two years ago,,my odds were less than 50 per cent,, now my attitude is ,,make the most of life,,and try to be nice,,life is short,so try to make it pleasant if possible.

Excellent pics, Larry. All very cool.

The really patchy rusting on the red/white GMC, seems unusual.

I like the TASC truck... and especially the rusty GMC in the second set of pics.

I wonder if any of those old Jimmies had Detroits in them? Always wanted to find one, as a farm truck, even though the old-timers who had driven them said they couldn't get out of their own way, and you needed 3 arms for all the gearshifts.

The red chevy with the hood up would be good. Would make a good wagon just the right length for what I want it for. Put a big gravity box on it or a box and hoist.

there is something about laying on a table in the ER and the nice lady asking "If something happens do you want to be resuscitated?" Then repeats the question two more times. Then you realize "Hey she's talking to me, I'm the only one in this room toes up".

I love that series of GMC (1948+/-?). when I was in high school, mid 60s, Dad bought some ear corn from a neighbor that delivered the corn with one
of those monsters. I was impressed.

Thanks for posting the truck pics. There's a lot of drivers on this site and some of us younger ones never got the chance to drive some of the older iron

Nice pics, I like the rusty old trucks. Someone's collection or salvage yard--or combination of both? For those big Jimmies to still be hanging around, looks like someone stepped in on their way to the crusher, gave em a "stay of execution." Always enjoy seeing stuff like that, thanks for sharing.

back in the late 80's i used to drive a 238 detroit with what they used to call a 15 speed. I think 2 were reverse but doint the math that
dosent add up. my knees were killing me untill i figure out how to shift without the clutch.. i mananged to move on to a better life..
