I talked to the owner quite a while,,my uncle bought pickups from him,,from 1962 till around 1976

The Nice man said,,go out to the back lot,,there are some more old trucks

Ill post some of them tomorrow

Is that a twin stick or a single stick transmission set up. I have 3 twin stick trucks on my place

Nice old road tractor, any idea of the year? Late 50s, early 60s or am I way off? Looks like it wasn't easy on the backside over the bumps.

That model cab with a sleeper on it with a diesel engine was used by McClean Freight lines out of North Carolina. They ran with 2 man teams. Nice old trucks. It was back in the early 60's, that I know they were running.

Poking through the inter web it appears the 630 series had a couple different models and bodies. Chevy GMC changed grille styles in ?54 to a heavier center bar. Would this possibly be pre-?54 with the 5 Oliver grille?

I can t imagine how rough that thing rode with full spring suspension. The phrase cast iron jewels comes to mind. I had an acquaintance who drove cab over Whites for Campbell express. He had to quit driving because of blood in his urine from the rough ride.

The old stub nose 630, little different
than the 630 I restored for my boss! This
is a 58!

Bumper isn't right but he wanted it in
the truck show and we had it on hand! Lol

Whats the big deal about shifting on a 10 speed. The 5an 4's were much more to work with and the old Mack Triplex if he waved at you going by while shifting he had 3 arms.

brown dirt cowboy what are your thoughts on this?
once upon a time there was a company called H & W I think had terminals in Dubuque Ia and Rockford IL. They would run on US 20. If I remember right they had a box like a straight truck and would pull a trailer

well Virgil, Larry said it has a gas motor and I think it is a little early for a V-6 and I don't see a doghouse but I do think it is an inline 6 motor with a 5 speed trans with 2 speed axle. All in all I think it is a nice old truck.

My uncle had a used '52-'53 flat bed straight truck in '57-58 ,online 6 ,5 and 2 speed . His biggest
issue was very poor hydraulic brakes. He traded it for a D Case and the truck ended hauling spuds from
the field to storage.
