Need help in finding spec number. Besides the ID plate on the flywheel cover. Is it stamped on the engine anywhere???

Ok. Thanks, I'm trying to see if i can just out crankshafts, from one engine to another. So far it looks like you can do it.

I have cut off cranks in both VF4D and VH4D to use with clutches and clutch reductions. I also have a complete clutch only for either engine. Make sure you use right number of shims to get preload right on main bearings. Make sure you replace with a vh4 crank because they are different from the vf4 as will as cam and mag. Newer VH4s will have shell rod bearings.

Tim, pictures of shim setup.

Thanks, for the info Jim. One other question. Do you have to remove the pistons to change out the crank shafts? It doesn't say in the disassembly of the crank.

Yes, Pittauto is where i get all my parts.

Jim, I just dont want to have to take the pistons out if it is not needed. They are good, it just has the wrong crankshaft in it. I've got it mostly all apart. Just have to disconnect the pistons
