Finally got the Ford 8000 I have been looking for. 1969 non-dual power. Needs front tires. Supposably was overhauled 292 hours ago. Everything is there and works. It came from an estate.

That is a nice looking tractor. I always liked the styling of them. Looks nice and straight with a new seat. Little elbow grease on the paint and she will shine like a new one. Never any Fords in my neighborhood. No dealer.

Looks good. I always liked the looks of the 8-9000 fords. Local dairy had two one with a roll guard and one with a cab. I have a small toy collection and the only ford I have is a toy 8000. Tom

Good looking machine. Some early models suffered from spalling of the rear main drive gears, but I would think by now all would have been updated. Tough old birds.

I had one almost exactly like that, was a really good tractor to run a round baler, powerful old beast handled nice.Went down the road when another fellow wanted it more than me.Several show up at local tractor pulls they do good.

Nice straight looking old Ford. It was apparently shedded for most of its life.

Here is my 9000

Ford had been trying to build a BIG tractor for several years. The 6000 commander was a good attempt, but not quite what folks who needed a big tractor were looking for, but Ford hit the nail square on the head when they introduced the 8000.

That 9000 is pretty cool too. Wonder what the appeal of a narrow front on that large a tractor was.

I will assume that the narrow front was standard issue, and the wide front was an optional, extra cost add on. THAT would be the appeal.
