What is a magnetic drain plug in a 205 MF

I would assume it's a regular drain plug with a magnet built in. I'd also assume it's under the engine and/or transmission somewhere.

Can't say exactly what you have but most are a square head pipe plug, 3/4 or 1". Not usually on engine pan but look under the transmission and rear end housings. Sometimes on PTO.

It is a plug that has a magnet on the bottom to catch any metal fillings. More so found on hyd. Units.

(quoted from post at 14:53:43 02/06/20) What does it look like
how do I remove it

Check your earlier post. I enlarged the drawing (which I posted there for you) here. Enlarged it looks like you are looking for what would appear to be a flanged bolt hex head, with a gasket under the flange. It is in the bottom of the differential housing. Same part number for the plug and location in both 2WD and 4wd versions. I would use the proper size wrench to remove it, by turning counterclockwise.
