Very true Bruce, it is also annoying when you have sold two tractors to a customer at the same time and one would start without the glowplugs at dinner time and the other one would need the glowplugs applying. MJ

My father had that same tractor. The first winter it was had we had to use the BN with a twisted belt to pup start it, for part of the winter. One Saturday Dad went out to the driving shed, felt he should open up the battery box and look at the battery; discovered that some one had put a small battery in the box. > the top of the battery had a rim around it that was over an inch wider than the rest of the battery>> so the contents of the battery was only 4oo minus cc amps but the top made it look like it was 800 plus cc amps. Changed the battery to a proper one and no further difficulty. that same battery was in the tractor 5 years later when he sold it. As I recall it never failed to start cold with glow plugs or hot with out.
