Farmall H....complete with belly pump and auxiliary transmission. Not running but loose, tires hold air and roll. I will try to get it running then maybe some paint. It wont be a money maker, but it will get me out of the house and perhaps avoid gaining a few extra pounds!

Is that the low speed or high speed transmission? One of the neighbors friends had an "M" with that road gear in it. Man that thing could keep up with a Corvette!

not sure.....got to get it running first. Bought new and used by a neighbor, has not run for at least 5 years.

From some of the posts on here there are three types of those auxiliary transmissions. Lower speed creaper type, high speed road gears, and there is a type that does both. Have fun with it.

Not sure what you mean by "auxillary transmission". My H has the M&W nine speed, which gives you a faster side to everything except 5th gear.

nice looking h! i have one with a trip bucket loader. nimble tractor, chore handy and good on fuel. grease the distributor and housing before you turn it over. i have a 42 m that sat for years, stripped the drive gears when i tried to turn it over.,

Yes, that's it! That is what the original owner said it had....just missing the shift cable.

There's a slower 1st gear. And a Fast 4th gear, which normally includes a slightly faster 2nd & 3rd gear, same speeds as a Super H & Super M. Then the M&W 9 speed which is the four additional speeds between 4th and 5th. Heisler made one too, slightly different design internally. Regular poster on the RPM forum said his neighbor had a Heisler on an M that ran 32 mph. I'd like to see that in person. Only way I think it would run that fast is if the engine ran 3000 rpm.
The first two ARE NOT auxilliary transmissions, just different gears in the transmission to give different speeds. The 9-speeds also are NOT additional transmissions, just an additional gear on each of the existing two transmission shafts.
Now if this is something different, We need pictures, brand name, descriptions, etc.

Nice looking tractor for a project. I grew up on an H and I had one for a couple of years but had no room in the barn so I sold it. I hate leaving equipment outside, especially tractors.

There were ones for the ford tractors. I know the farmalls had a special road gear. There was just so much stuff made that it could very well be out there. Don't clam to be an expert. He will find out.

Good looking unit. Keep the basic stuff as original as possible - only original once. Hope you get it running without too much cost.

neither did I , but I know the old chev. gravel trucks had the 427 engine and 5 and 4 auxiliary transmission. 2 transmissions and 2 gear shifts.

Glennster,
As a kid I logged a lot of seat time on an H with trip bucket. Only wish it has PS.

(quoted from post at 18:31:13 01/31/20) grease the distributor and housing before you turn it over. i have a 42 m that sat for years, stripped the drive gears when i tried to turn it over.,

To late for that, he said it was loose.
