48 years for the M

Picture of my brother driving our Grandpas M today. In 1971 or 72 my brother was hauling wheat seed from southwestern Oklahoma to northeast Oklahoma where we lived. My Grandpa lived in the town of Gotebo and brother stopped by to see him. His hands were hurting so brother finished planting wheat on his quarter of land there. This was the last crop my he farmed. Sold his equipment and leased the land to young fella that was just getting started. First land this fella farmed. He ended up owning 2000 acres of land when he died about 3 years ago. Brother was out there talking to his sister as he had no wife of kids. Sister said she was going to have an auction and sell his equipment. My brother said he wanted the old M. She said to just take it as belonged to our Grandpa. Hauled it to the place as my Uncle lives there now. Was on propane and motor stuck. Brought it to NE Oklahoma 2 1/2 years ago. Found donor tractor that was running and had gas tank and hood. Tore both apart and used some gears in transmission and one bull gear. Replaced seals in brakes and transmission imput shaft and brake shaft. It is leaking out of one of the axle housings underneath. Deal with that later. Put new gauges and switches. Got one light working for now. Brother said no paint job just leave it like it is. Thought I would put this on here. Lynn

good job,no more satisfaction than driving an old family unit again. agree on the original as is.

Ellis The rear tires and rims are from a friend. Front from another tractor at moms. Original motor was 6 volts. This motor is out of the donor tractor and converted to 12V. Picture of tractor before on brothers phone. Will get it one of these days. Lynn
