Engine oil overfilled

I don't think possible because I think that is a belt driven power steering pump, not mounted on engine and that tractor I have heard uses a truck engine instead of one designed for a tractor. Think that is why all 6000 tractors are SOS tractors as Ford did not want to design a reduction setup to slow truck engine speed to normal tractor engine speed.

It IS possible because power steering pump is driven by engine as it's in front of the cam gear. The hydraulic pump has it's drive externally in front of the front damper pulley.

Steering pump is drive shaft driven looks like it?s plumbed in with hyd pump reservoir.all tied together

don't know if its related but I had a 960 that started doing that. friend of mine who used to work for a ford tractor place told me it was the tractors hyd pump. took it off and he put new seals in it and never had any problem with it since.

Supprise as a truck engine and later blue series 4000 and 5000 were belt driven, had 3 of them.

4-cylinder 4000 had a belt driven p/s pump; 3-cylinder 4000 and 5000 (all 65 and newer Fords) had gear driven p/s pumps mounted on the front of the engine

I do not remember that being the case on my 65 & 68 4000 and 68 5000. newer yes but not what I had.

Fordfarmer is correct, all 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7000 models with power steering had gear driven pumps on the left front side of the engine.
65-68 used pumps like this one on my 66 5000

Beginning in 69 some and by 70 all models used the canister type like the one on my 69 4000

50's-64 models had belt driven pumps like on my 62 801
