Anybody besides me still using one of these? My uncle gave me this in 1972 and it seemed ancient then. He also gave me 50# of 6013 rod and I have about a dozen left. Both work great.

I still use a Lincoln Buzz box and a Marquette Power Twin.

Rock solid old welders, imo

I still use an old Wards Power Kraft, I think it was made by Marquet. My main rod is 6011 on old rusty farm stuff

I have an old Forney (1950's ?) that my son and I bought at a consignment auction sale with cables for $15.00! I knew the copper was worth lots more than that. Took it home, wired it up and worked great. Several years ago turned it on and heard a loud bang. Wouldn't work. Found a large capacitor blown up. Replaced it for about $9.00 and it works great. Nice bead with 6013 from HF.

I learned on a Forney with a plug in front similar to that. Except each plug had a high and low which was done by changing the ground plug position. It seemed to have a high duty rating. Worked great.

Old Airco orange box 230 amp from early 60s. Burns rod great. Had one of the Powr-Kraft units back in the day and sold it. Mistake.

I?ve got an Emerson similar to this. Pa had it on the farm when I was in 3 cornered pants. Pa quit smithing and they moved to the farm in ?58. I doubt it?s that old, but I don?t know. After relocating to the farm he was still called on for fix-it projects. I would like to see the pile of rod it has burned through in its lifetime.
