Front end weights

Looking at front end weights for my 3910. Found these on Craig's List: https://texoma.craigslist.org/grd/d/denison-tractor-weights/7059466563.html.

Any idea as to what HP tractor used them......wondering if they will fit, weight is fine, just size. Could fab a bracket for mounting if he doesn't have one or one to fit the 3910.

Thanks.

I know it's not the "correct" thing to do, but over the years I have used whatever I had laying around for front weights. The old M-F front suitcase weights have been on many tractors here. I've used heavy lengths of chain and sash weights too. Works for me!

Those were available on the 4610 and larger Fords. They used a cast steel bracket, which was 200+# all by itself. I'm sure a bracket could be made for a 3910, but I don't think there was a factory made one for these weights.

Texasmark1,
I purchased weights for the front of my 4600 thru my dealer. He had an independent company that supplied a bracket and I purchased 4 suitcase weights.
These were reasonably priced and they were shipped in on a bulk order free to me.
I am VERY satisfied with them.
I don't remember the company name but a search brought up and the "Taylor Foundry Company" and the weight "TF 0167 Universal Front Tractor Weight" looks like the ones I purchased.
Their bracket "TF F-3040" looks like the one that fit my 4600.

I bought a 464 45 hp IH and thought I was going to pick up a 5x6 round bale.....it picked me up. Solution was to build a bracket and put 4 ea 24" cut off
pieces of railroad siding rails (smaller than main line rails) which did the trick. In attempting to move the 20' length of rail prior to taking it to the machine
shop for cutting, I had no idea steel was so heavy.

Funny, I was browsing Craig's list later today and ran across a nice 4610 and it had 5 of these on the OEM bracket....quite a bracket at that. Really tempted to go after that machine but enough is enough. Gotta stop somewhere. When I bought the 3910 I wanted the power in a smaller frame so this is going the wrong direction for me now. Thanks
