It appears my post about the Volvo, and the JD 5020 went over the cliff for what ever reason. Anyway keep in touch. The 5020 will be here. I don't think it will be going away soon. If you still want it in the fall. I will probably finish the repairs where my brother left off. I need to move it. Stan

Stan,
Did California change emission standards on old farm tractors?

What about tier 5 standards?

George

That?s not a bad trip I?ve done that without even stopping for anything than to unhook the trailer I was pulling and a couple times to get fuel I was back in Idaho the next day

Fly down. Get a trailer lined up for the Volvo truck then load the 5020 onto it and head back home with the whole works.

I know you are familiar with the 5020. Little brother to the 6030, brute of a tractor. There are still quite a few doing a days work in my area. Be on the lookout for larger equipment....they will really pull!

I ran a 5020 through high school pulling a five shank big ox ripper on these hills I thought I was in hog heaven

My friend still has that tractor it?s so wore out now it won?t hardly pull itself I keep trying to talk him into letting me overhaul it

I?m thinking I?ll probably have someone haul it out of California into Utah for me. Because I am not sure if this truck is legal in California.

I know there are holding yards in Nevada to transfer tractors and vehicles because I sold a Cockshutt tractor to a guy in California and the trucker said he's drop the tractor in Nevada for another hauler to take into CA.
