OT Hero cat

You hear stories of coyotes taking down cattle -- then you see this . They must have been well fed and just playing with the cat . Why wouldn't that cat climb a tree?

I saw the encounter on the news. I believe the cyotes understood the danger they were in. I had a cat that was fearless, and died of old age. He was a long haired Persian. He jumped off of the front porch railing 4 feet down on the head of a German Shepherd. The dog was shreaded and lost sight in one eye. chased to the edge of the yard, the dog was never seen again. Cats can be very protective of their turf. We have a cat that has chased black bear out of our back yard. More than once. When we had three males I saw them looking around the corner of the house one day. I walked up to them and when I got to the the corner all three took out after a German Sheperd and chased it down the drive , 1/4 of a mile, until they came to the road. Also, some cats are just crazy.

That was amazing but I would also add the cat was lucky it could have turned bad in an instant.

I agree-- best senerio would be one would have gotten its eyes clawed out which left two to chew on the cats back side . They were just trying to decide who would loose there eyes and who would get to eat.

We had old tom at the feed store. When ever a truck pulled up to the loading dock. Tom would walk it just daring them to get out. He put many brave dogs back in the truck.

I love cats -- have eight of them (seven garage/shed cats, one inside). That said, I'd bet that cat used up eight of its nine lives taking on three coyotes at once.
