I think there was more then one lever you had to move to switch it to diesel. I had a TD6 a number of years ago and there where 2 levers you moved to go from gas start to diesel

That yard is getting cleared out in a hurry. Cannot believe how many (what look like) IH bevel gear compartments he had in there.
That 555A will lift quite a bit too, looks like he's well equipped for the task. I bought a 555C about 1 1/2 years ago, to help with cleaning up my yard, do a lot of small projects, etc. been very handy so far.

Well this is one time you both are a little right.. LOL There was ONE lever that did the switch. YOu moved the throttle from the lower position gas up then OVER and on up to make the diesel switch .. but then there was another small lever to turn off the gas.

So, it was a bit different than the 400 600 series where only one lever was moved forward to switch to diesel and shut the gas off and the throttle then acted as normal ??

That is some SERIOUS iron! My dad had a few TD crawlers with 4 in 1 Drotts or Bucyrus blades and I still turn up odd parts off of them.

Does he have any TD series headlights? I need a pair- the old socket-and-bulb, non sealed beam style with the wire mesh brush guards held on by 4 screws spaced
around the lens bezel.

Interesting stuff. I'm very familiar with the WD-9 IHC tractor and those who have commented on the ONE lever/TWO lever starting are not correct in the fine details, but I'm not going to write that whole procedure out. Either you know it or you don't know it!

On the TD6 there was two levers you had to move at the same time of it would not switch to diesel

Hi Larry
Can you ask your brother if he has any tracts for a Int 500 dozer. My friend needs some pins to fix his.

don't need one ? its just that that looks like the same type of mixer that I have and it has a hit and miss motor to run it and you don't see many of them

My dad's sawmill had a UD18 power unit. I
remember just how it sounded when
starting and switching over to diesel,
been 44 years since he sold the mill.
