Nice rig. I have a Kubota B2150 with a home built 3pt hitch skidding arch and a LA350A loader. Sure wish that I had a grapple bucket on front, but I get along with with it nicely. Too cheap to spring for a 3 spool valve!!!
I much prefer cutting and processing my firewood in the summer when I don't need to ware 25# of extra cloths to stay warm.-----------------Loren

Russ no matter what you post on here someone will is going to have something negative to say about it.we all know dirt and stuff will eventually dull a chain comes with the territory. I guess I should of posted this pic with the others it keeps them dry and clean

Not to worry, skidded like that for years, still do until I can make log length and use the 3 pt hitch forks. Never noticed excessive dulling, I just use a whisk or other broom where I'll make a cut or often times the logs have curves, bends and very little contacts the ground. Ones I hate are when they want to plow a furrow, again, I just section them up and get them with the 3 pt forks. I have even hosed them off, I like to process near my garage.

Good size elm, heavy water laden, but had dutch elm disease. Found a pile of Morel mushrooms in there.

Boy you got THAT right!

I want to get an old running gear converted with uprights. Then I can buck to length and use the grapple on skid loader to load. I like to gather out in the woods and consolidate it in the south pasture close to the house. Then I can work it up a little at a time, and have it close to do so..

Pulling 4 or 5 logs on the gear would be a better use of time than skidding one or two...

Never found them before, the area was littered with them and there was many dead elm in there. Now the canopy is less, not sure if they will come back. I even found them along the path by the old milk house where it was overgrown. I stopped the logging and started gathering these, left a few to re-seed if that is how it works, they were really good too, I had so many I gave some to 2 friends who enjoyed same.

Some of the people with band sawmills in my area and no debarker will not saw up logs that have been dragged in the dirt and grit because of dulling their saw bands.
