Ford Jubilee Hydraulics

Well what a nightmare. I went from a problem to a bumble bees nest. First of all does anybody know of any salvage yards for Ford tractors where I could get the shaft that goes from the operators lever for the hydraulic lift to inside the rockshaft housing. It is an obsolete part and there aint one on ebay. Second I have the IT manual and it references using these obsolete NUday tools and gauges to adjust the hydraulic linkage. Anybody got an idea of how to do this without those? If somebody has a homemade set I'd buy some if theyd make me a copy as I don't think this will be my last time into Jubilee hydraulics. Thanks

I have and I have also ordered the dvd and I am waiting on it to come in. I just figured I'd fish for more info and perhaps somebody who specializes in Ford tractor restoration etc might have some surefire tricks and tips.

Bad threads on one end. I tried chasing them with a die but they are really bad. I can use it but while its all apart I'd rather replace it if I can and not worry with it down the road.

That would be awesome if you do. They are as follows:
Nuday Tool No. N-502-B (thickness gauge)
Nuday Tool No. N-503 ( locating arm)

I remember the hydraulics on my Jubilee was full of rust and had water inside. Draining the oil, didn't remove all the water. I had to use a cloth towel to dry it. In the win

CHN 134 oil is recommended. Cheap oil stopped working in the winter. My hand control would freeze in place, one inside sump.

All my control levers had a lot of slop and flop due to wear.

The cam and cam follower had excessive wear.

So I used a bolt and made my own follower. One end fit in the hole. The large part of bolt rubbed on the cam.

I pulled out a lot of hair working on it.. had the loft cover off many times. I attached electric wench to rafters to assist in getting lift cover off.

I was told parts for hydraulics was only a 2 year run.

Good luck.

Thanks. Luckily I am in Texas so extreme cold weather is not a big issue and mine was not full of water and rust but at some point someone has been in there and used RTV and I suspect there may be bits of it in things. I have ran into that before. As for the lift cover I have already had it on and off so many times that I am down to just putting in 6 bolts to test and they have been in and out so many times the threads are clean and lubed enough you can run them up all the way by hand.
