Headed back to NM

I was down with bad cold over the holidays. I got back to work after new years and spent back half of last week in Paullina Iowa at compressor station. The weather was real nice until I ran into blizzard on way home Friday west of Waterloo. I am on the way back to New Mexico to check on my team there and to commission a new input/output (IO) cabinet at Intel. The supplier of the cabinet is a month late, and it is really needed, so I am flying out to get it done.

Is there a guy here from there?

I don't think he has a specific expertise. He has shown us his work in the area of system controls and interface electronics. A combination of transducers and industrial signal processing, with a team of installers and trouble shooters that make things (big things) actually respond to owner/and process demands. Whew. (I am probably only approximately correct) Jim

I worked out in the mid west a few years ago building and installing continuous emissions monitoring systems for alot of different ethanol plants all over Iowa. My first job was in Lakota, Iowa for a plant called Valero. I would have to fly from NJ with my tools, find a place to stay and complete the job, then visit them quarterly. I saw different parts of the country and worked with plenty of great people. Some of those ethanol plants use 400 + acres of corn per day. Thought I would share. Thanks

VALERO is the largest refinery in this country and are huge in ethanol so when they say big oil is not for ethanol big mistake they are now even opening their own gas stations and we do have one here in Iowa City

Valero is/was a San Antonio company that was a spin off out of law suit between coastalstate gas and city of San Antonio 1979. The lawsuit restricts them to having their headquarters only in San Antonio...

They purchased Diamond Shamrock stations down here many years ago and have slowly moved north. Aquired several refineries... and kept on growing.
