There is a early 8N for listed on the Lake of the Ozarks MO. Craig's list. Listed price for it is $6300. Come with a few implements like box blade and back blades and boom pole but still not near $6300 worth of stuff. From the picture you can tell it is a front mount distributor. Tire do look pretty good and over all the tractor looks good but not $6300 worth of good.

I see that a lot, especially on free ads.

Why not? Nothing to loose if no one responds.

Same thing on Amazon, Ebay... I think they are hoping someone unfamiliar with the value of the currency or just not doing their homework will bite.

For all we know the owner is getting flak from someone for keeping it, and had to promise to put it up for sale. Only at a price that it never will. It's hard to know what's on people's minds or what they're going through.

Happened to a neighbor of mine- he had bought an extra 5 acres, and wife wanted him to sell it. He listed it at a ridiculous price, his mistake was not updating the listing price. A couple of years later its value caught up with the price, and somebody made a full price offer. Oops.

Old .... I'm glad I'm not trying to sell an overpriced 8N on Craigslist with deal killers lurking on the web. Meanwhile, since we can't see the ad, why not post it and then let us know what you would be asking for it if you were selling it yourself? Thanks for doing that, I know we can depend on you ..... "NOT" (using your words) LOL !!!

I don't know how to post a direct link to that ad so I put it up in such a way it should be easy for any one to go to Lake of the Ozarks Craig's list and look in farm and garden to find it

I found the link for you George, see it below. Looks pretty nice, if I lived inn the Ozarks I'd be over here this afternoon with cash in my hand .... and probably pick up a speeding ticket on the way .... LOL ! Now, how much would you charge for it if it were yours?
8N in the Ozarks for sale ....

I like to see what I am clicking on.

8N front mount distributor which that one is tractor alone is around $1500unless he has paper work where it had complete rebuild from the top down. The implements maybe $250 each for some like the box blade or back blade. Boom pole maybe $100 and dirt bucket $125 tops

I?ve listed items for sale in the past where the first caller told me I was nuts and would never get half the asking price for the item. The second caller showed up with a fist full of $100 bills and paid asking price.

At least this guy put a price on it. Don?t want to pay that don?t call!

In my opinion there isn?t a pickup truck that?s worth $50000, but there are plenty advertised and people buy them. Guy can ask whatever he wants for his 8n. It?s a free country.

Yes he can ask that but realistically all he is doing is wasting his own time doing so. Now as for a $50,000 truck if it is very rare maybe but then again look at with pickup are selling for right now. My self I do not think there is many cars built today that are worth but maybe half of of what they are asking for them. I know I sure could not think about a 2019 car being worth $35,000 but hat is what many are selling for

Old,
If you can buy something what's it worth and sell it others think it worth, you could make a fortune.

Not bad...I paid 3500$ for mine, that included..a landscapping blade, box blade and a bush hog..But then it hadn't had anything done to it..

there is a couple fellows that lives south of me who restores these 8n tractors. when I asked them how much they could get it was several thousand dollars. that tractor I have no idea of condition of it. just looks good in the photo. for us on here it would seem hi but we all are bargain hunters but don't be surprised if it sells for that if condition warrants. personally I hope he gets what he wants. just wont be from me or sure. im a bargain hunter. everyone to there own.

Yes I know any tractor can be over priced I have one that is.. I have a 1935 JD B that I have pierced at $100,000. But I can tel you where it has been since 1940 and I played on it as a kid and so have my grand kids. Plus I have the owners manual that came with it when it was new and yes it still runs. My grand father got it in 1940

girl friends daughter car was totaled in a wreck. she went looking for something else found a 2015 ford f 150 almost 100,000 miles dealer was asking about 25 grand she didn't buy it a payments were to be about 550 a month.
the poor girl is busting her rear to keep head above water as it is

In my area he would be lucky to get $3000 for all of that...For years a neighbor
has bought, fixed up, and sold probably well over (100) 8N Fords...The last time
I talked to him he said the market is getting pretty soft on 8N's..A year ago my
brother sold his decent 8N Ford with a 2 bottom plow and 6 ft blade...He got
$2500 for them...

He says an upgraded 6 volt system. I would like to know how you would do that. And text only, very few people I know text.

Replace every bearing, gasket, and seal in the tractor. Full overhaul on the engine at a machine shop. New tires and rims all around. Body work and a decent paint job. I think you could sink at least $6300 into an 8N pretty easy.

Of course that doesn't mean that's what you get back out of it, but there are many many people who don't know/think that.

Actually if the ad is legit, that's the cheapest one of those I've seen in awhile. Usually I have seen those tractors for $200,000+. Don't know if any have crossed the Mercum auction or any other auction as of late or what they went for if they did.

This was in response to the UDLX.

And that?s not paying yourself a dime for labor . I
know an 8n isn?t the very most desirable for a farm
tractor people( say anyway ) myself if I knew it was
new front to back I?d take it over the tinfoil and
plastic ones they build today.

Just like chevy Chase gambling in Vegas when he keeps getting more and more chips the cashier tells him ? you just don?t give up do you grizwald ?? Here?s an idea why don?t you give me half a what you?re going to bet I?ll take you out back kick ya in the nuts we?ll call it day ? that?s what restoring tractors for profit is like

I have they feel like driving a lawn mower . Friend has a 100 hp kubota and When you pick up one 1100 pound bale your lucky if you have 3 wheels on the ground .

Only one UDLX ever sold for 200K...The last ones Mecum recently sold
went for 147K and 157K.....For the past 3 years they have been selling for about
110K to 140K..I'm the guy that keeps the UDLX serial # list..
