the ole perpetual motion machine. wheel drives the generator that charges the battery that makes the car go!

If it is an electric car it could extend the distance it would normally travel on a charge. It looks large enough to be a high amp generator. It most likely wouldn't help going up a grade but would going down a grade. Interesting to think about. I read that some electric cars do put additional charge into the batteries when deaccelerating.

It?s a self-feeder conveyor that bring the nuts to the squirrels
running in the wheel that drives the rubber band that turns the
tires.

So, what's the problem, what could possibly go wrong ???????? Any of the electrical experts on here can tell you when driving the belt driven alternator can replenish any energy required to propel the car, PERPETUAL MOTION LIVES YAYYYYYYYYY

John T )(*&^%$# Wink and Nod lol

I think it is a refrigeration compressor, used to keep the drivers beer cold. At least that would make sense.

its an EGJB electric generating jake brake. see the 2 big switches on the dash
i got the exact unit on my old chev pick up.
great for extra charging of the units battery system when entering extended down hill slopes
u will never need to replace brake pads for the life of the vehicle
u will see many of these components in the mountain regions.
it even works better when entering sharp curves and wanting to drift hard corners.
my wife likes it for parallel parking it gives her extended individual brakes for entering or leaving a parking spot.
best invention ever. lol

Back in the 1960's unionized automobile endurance drivers were tasked to do nothing more than drive new pre production car models around southeast Michigan all day 24/7.

At one point the cars were holding up very well, too well.

It was discovered that a bunch of them were hanging out at their favorite strip joint all day.
All the while the test cars were racking up hundreds of miles per shift.
The drivers were jacking up one driven wheel and putting the car in gear while they were inside the strip joint all day.

So that belt driven thingy is a data logger that so far has not been hacked by the test drivers.

One of the better tongue in cheek dry humour joke explanations that I have read in a while. 3kw Of drag at 60mph and nothing below 30 mph .

40 years ago buses with an inertia brake were tested in London. A 6 ft diam flywheel was mounted under the floor. The engine brought it up to a certain speed initially. At every stop part of the decelerating force came from increasing the speed of the flywheel, then when starting off some of the accelerating force came out of the flywheel. Due to the great weight added to the bus it would probably be efficient only in a setting with frequent stops and starts.
